Christmas Morning Casserole

6-8 slices bread, buttered on both sides
2 c. shredded American or cheddar cheese
20 link sausages or 1 lb. bacon
4-6 eggs
2 1/4 c. milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. milk

Christmas Eve arrange bread in a greased 9x13 pan.  Sprinkle with grated cheese.  Brown sausage or bacon, drain, arrange on top of cheese.  Beat eggs with 2 1/2 c. milk and pour over sausage and cheese.  In a separated container, mix cream of mushroom soup with 1/2 c. of milk.  Cover and refrigerated both overnight.

Christmas morning (before opening gifts) pour soup mixture over casserole.  Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.  When the gifts are done so is the casserole.  Makes 8-10 servings or 4-6 big boy servings.
